Eng. Majd Samnah, Director General of Project Planning at the Ministry of Education, conducted a field visit to the Project to Increase Access to Education and Improve Its Quality in Lawdar District of Abyan Governorate and Bayhan District of Shabwah Governorate. During his visit, he reviewed the ongoing work in Lawdar and the efforts being made to improve the educational environment, expand access to education, and meet the needs of students.
Eng. Samnah emphasized the importance of rehabilitating educational infrastructure to ensure a suitable learning environment and to enhance access to education for all. He noted that this project contributes significantly to improving the quality of education and supports areas suffering from a shortage of educational facilities.
He also praised the efforts of Mayar Foundation for Development, commending its substantial and continuous contributions to strengthening and improving the quality of education and supporting educational infrastructure. He stated that the work of Mayar Foundation sets a model in the development sector, delivering outstanding projects that provide real and significant benefits to students, teachers, and the education sector as a whole.
He affirmed the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry and Mayar Foundation, along with supporting entities, to achieve sustainable development in the education sector and ensure a better future for coming generations.
The project is implemented by Mayar Foundation for Development, with funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). It aims to improve the standard of education, provide a conducive learning environment, and create better educational opportunities for students. The foundation affirms its continuous commitment to improving educational conditions and expanding learning opportunities for all.
