Overview

MFD had a project with the Environmental Water and Sanitation Program as it was the first organization to enter the city of Hotta immediately after the end of the conflict in 2015. The 90-day water distribution points were provided at a rate of 64,000 liters per day, with the joint funding of the International Organization for Migration and MFD,

also MFD has worked in Abyan and Lahj provided 2300 HHs with hygiene kits, ceramic water filters, and  Hygiene Promotion awareness-raising, also provided 10000 HHs in Abyan by hygiene kits, water tanks, water tracking,179 Temporary latrines, and  Hygiene Promotion awareness-raising, as well as the distribution of large reservoirs for schools. The Foundation also provided 233 water tanks in addition to the accessories in the province of Aden Directorate of Sheikh Osman and Dar Saad. Cleaning the water tanks for schools and working on chlorine tanks in coordination with the World Health Organization and emergency response to cholera prevention, and Establishing, expanding, and rehabilitating new classrooms (Temporary or Permanent), including gender-sensitive and disability-sensitive WASH Facilities in Aden, Lahaj and Shabwah, and  Provide operational support to water supply systems, submersible Pump, works by the solar energy system in Abyan and Lahj.

MFD also has experience in implementing the Immediate Response Program for Food Security and Malnutrition in Abyan Governorate, Khanfar, and Hoor districts and strengthening food security and livelihoods projects in Abyan and Shabwah governorates.  Most recently, MFD has implemented projects in Aden, Lahj, Shabwa, Aldale’e, Abyan, and Hadramuot, with different donors OCHA – YHF, FAO, IOM, UAE AID, KSA, UNICEF, ARK, and MUSLIM AID
